How to do Elliptical

Setup

Step onto the elliptical pedals and grasp the moving handles at chest height. Stand upright with feet centered on each pedal, ensuring your full foot makes contact.

How to do it

  1. Push through your entire foot in a smooth, circular motion without lifting your heels.
  2. Keep your core engaged and shoulders relaxed throughout the movement.
  3. Coordinate your arm pulls with the opposite leg push for natural rhythm.
  4. Maintain steady breathing and avoid leaning heavily on the handles.
  5. Adjust resistance to sustain your target pace without bouncing or jerky motions.

Watch out for

  • Rising onto the toes instead of keeping the full foot planted on the pedals.
  • Gripping the handles too tightly or supporting too much body weight with the arms.
  • Using only the legs while keeping arms stationary, missing full-body engagement.
