Setup
Load one end of a barbell into a landmine attachment or corner, standing with feet shoulder-width apart facing the bar. Grip the free end with one hand at shoulder height, elbow bent, with the bar angled upward from the floor.
How to do it
- Press the bar up and slightly forward in an arc, extending your arm fully overhead
- Keep your core tight and avoid leaning back as you press
- Drive through your legs slightly to assist the press while maintaining stable feet
- Lower the bar with control back to shoulder height
- Keep your wrist straight and aligned with your forearm throughout
Watch out for
- ✗Leaning backward excessively instead of pressing in a natural arc
- ✗Letting the elbow flare out too far to the side instead of keeping it forward
- ✗Rushing the eccentric portion and losing control on the way down
