How to do Landmine Press

Setup

Load one end of a barbell into a landmine attachment or corner, standing with feet shoulder-width apart facing the bar. Grip the free end with one hand at shoulder height, elbow bent, with the bar angled upward from the floor.

How to do it

  1. Press the bar up and slightly forward in an arc, extending your arm fully overhead
  2. Keep your core tight and avoid leaning back as you press
  3. Drive through your legs slightly to assist the press while maintaining stable feet
  4. Lower the bar with control back to shoulder height
  5. Keep your wrist straight and aligned with your forearm throughout

Watch out for

  • Leaning backward excessively instead of pressing in a natural arc
  • Letting the elbow flare out too far to the side instead of keeping it forward
  • Rushing the eccentric portion and losing control on the way down
