Setup
Position yourself between parallel bars with arms fully extended, supporting your body weight. Lean slightly forward with knees bent and feet crossed behind you.
How to do it
- Keep elbows tucked close to your sides throughout the movement
- Lower yourself until upper arms are parallel to the ground
- Press through your palms to drive back up to full arm extension
- Maintain a slight forward lean to engage triceps
- Control the descent for 2-3 seconds before pressing up
Watch out for
- ✗Flaring elbows out wide shifts emphasis to chest instead of triceps
- ✗Leaning too far forward turns the exercise into a chest dip
- ✗Dropping too deep can place excessive stress on the shoulder joint
