Pricing in this category moves, so every number below was checked against the app's own site or App Store listing on September 28, 2026 (US prices). FlexFit's numbers are exact. Where an app does not publish a price, the cell says so rather than guessing at a number you'd then plan a budget around.

Fitbod
$15.99 a month or $95.99 a year, with a 7-day free trial and no free tier. Fitbod builds strength sessions around your equipment and recent lifts, one session at a time rather than from a multi-week program.
Juggernaut AI
$34.99 a month or $349.99 a year, with a 2-week free trial and no free tier. The most expensive app on this list: powerlifting programming with autoregulated adjustments, positioned closer to online coaching than to a logger.
Hevy
Free and ad-free for logging. Hevy Pro is $2.99 a month, $23.99 a year, or $74.99 for life, and adds analytics and unlimited routines. It records what you already planned rather than generating the session.
Strong
Free forever for logging. Strong PRO is $4.99 a month, $29.99 a year, or $99.99 for life (a 6-month option is $19.99), mainly for charts and convenience features. A fast manual logger with a long track record.
JEFIT
Free Basic tier with 1,400+ exercises, custom routines, and logging. Elite is $12.99 a month or $69.99 a year and adds designed plans, analytics, video demos, and removes ads. More template-driven than adaptive.
Ray
From $19.99 a month after a 7-day free trial. Ray says its 3- and 12-month plans are discounted but does not publish those prices. iOS only. Voice-coached sessions with camera rep counting.
Forge Trainer
$19.99 a month or $59.99 a year (about $5 a month), with a $6.99 weekly option and a 7-day free trial. iOS and Android. Custom workouts plus an AI coaching chat.
MyFitAI
Free to download with a free tier covering workout generation, a meal planner, and a calorie tracker (Android). Paid plans exist, but neither the site nor the store listing publishes their prices, so we can't list them.
Which one for you
If you only want to record sets and see history, start with a free logger and pay nothing. If you want the session written for you each week — built from your program's current week, the sets and reps you logged last time, how hard they felt, and how long you have today — you're paying for a generator, and the question becomes what else the price covers. FlexFit's $19.99/month, or $120/year, includes workout generation, program progression, the training assistant, mobility routines, food and macro logging by text or photo, body weight and measurements, and sharing. There are no feature tiers, generation is as manual as you want it (set your own split and volume, build your own program, edit any session, swap exercises, add or drop sets), and you can cancel from Settings and keep access through the period you paid for.
